The golden rules

1. Separation. A puppet lives in its own browser profile / VM — never your real session.
2. Consistency. Name, age, timezone, writing style and interests must never contradict each other.
3. No crossover. Never log into a real account from the puppet, or vice-versa — shared cookies, IPs and devices deanonymize you.
4. Age it. Brand-new accounts look fake. Let it sit and post mundane things before you engage.
5. Stay legal. A sock puppet is for observation, not entrapment, harassment or fraud. Know the rules of your engagement.
